Guyana: Forty-four new COVID cases 16 in ICU reported

The Ministry of Health yesterday reported that Guyana has recorded an additional 44 cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
According to the daily COVID-19 dashboard, the new cases are among the 135 test results released by the Ministry. Region One recorded 29 of the new cases, Region Three recorded 2 and Region Four recorded 13 new cases. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases now stands at 3,565.
It was also revealed that 16 persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 132 in institutional isolation, 876 in home isolation and 39 persons in institutional quarantine.
The dashboard also revealed that 2,435 persons have recovered from the disease.
