Guyana: Two more COVID-19 deaths recorded

The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday reported the deaths of two more persons who contracted COVID-19.
The two latest fatalities were only identified as a 48-year-old man from Region One, and a 71-year-old woman from Region Four. Both persons died while receiving care. As a result of the two deaths, the country’s death toll has risen to 109.
Meanwhile, the MoH yesterday released the results of the testing of 110 persons, 52 of whom were confirmed to be positive. As a result, the total number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Guyana now stands at 3,672.
According to the MoH COVID-19 dashboard, there are now 13 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 112 persons in institutional isolation, 850 persons in home isolation and 56 persons in institutional quarantine.
