Guyana: Seventy-nine new COVID cases recorded

Guyana yesterday recorded 79 new COVID cases after 408 persons were tested, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Guyana to 4,324.
Region 1 saw 34 new cases while Region 4 recorded 25. The other regions to have recorded new cases were Region 2 with 5 new cases, Region 3 (9 new cases), Region 6 (1 new case), Region 8 (1 new case), and Region 10 (4 new cases).
Thirteen persons are said to be patients in the ICU, 62 in institutional isolation, 32 in home quarantine and 725 in home isolation.
The death toll remains at 130. So far, 20,739 persons have been tested for the virus.
