Guyana: Two more COVID-19 deaths, 88 new cases

Two elderly persons are the latest COVID-19 related fatalities, bringing the death toll to 137.
The two persons are said to be a male from Region 10 and a female from Region 4, both of whom are 74-years-old.
The Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 88 new COVID-19 cases from 714 tests, taking Guyana’s overall known cases to 4, 618.
A total of 65 new cases were reported in Region Four while Regions One, Seven and Ten each recorded five new cases; Region Three recorded six new cases and Regions Two and Eight recorded one new case each.
There are 10 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 56 in institutional isolation and 800 in home isolation. The Ministry has reported 137 deaths to date and 3, 611 persons have recovered.
So far, 23, 103 persons have been tested.
