Guyana: 36 more COVID-19 cases recorded -almost 300 since last week

The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday confirmed the detection of 36 more cases of COVID-19 from the results of 556 tests that were done.
According to the MoH’s daily COVID-19 dashboard, 10 of the new COVID-19 cases are from Region Four, 9 are from Region Six, 6 from Region Ten, 5 from Region One, 2 cases each from Region two and Region Seven and 1 case each from Region Three and Region Eight.
Based on the daily COVID-19 dashboards released from Sunday to yesterday, there were 299 new COVID-19 cases confirmed from a total of 1, 749 tests.
Meanwhile, the dashboard also revealed that 5 persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 53 persons in institutional isolation, 695 persons in home isolation and 37 persons in institutional quarantine. It was also revealed that 4,733 persons have recovered from the virus and 151 persons who were infected with the disease have died.
