Guyana: One more Covid-19 death, 64 new cases

A forty-year-old woman from Region 4 yesterday afternoon became Guyana’s latest COVID-19 fatality bringing the death toll to 104.
Meanwhile, 64 new cases have been recorded which brings Guyana’s active cases to 1,047.
The new cases have been registered in eight regions inclusive of Region 1 (20 new cases), Region 2 (7 new cases), Region 3 (7 new cases), Region 4 (17 new cases), Region 5 (1 new case), Region 7 (2 new cases), Region 8 (8 new cases), and Region 10 (2 new cases).
Sixteen persons are said to be patients in the ICU while 113 persons are in isolation and 60 persons are in institutional quarantine. The Ministry of Health’s dashboard also records 919 persons to be in home isolation.
To date 3,469 persons have been confirmed positive for the virus.
